GAAC SPRING USA MEET WAS A GREAT EVENT!

With 64 personal best times, 4 team records, 1 Monroe/Pike Record and 12 JO times the GAAC was and outstanding meet for the Piranhas! 25 PFY Swimmers took the 1.5 - 2 hour drive to Fort Washington PA to swim on May 17-18.

LESS THAN 1 MONTH AWAY!!!!

With less than a month away the 2008 USA Olympic trials will be exciting to say the least. With the United States boasting many of the top 5 times in the world and only the 2 top 2 swimmers of each many of the events the competition will be the best in years. There are a few "local" YMCA Swimmers from our state attending.

Piranhas USA Team Starts Long Course Season

Our USA Team started its long course season in a big way in the "BIG" pool. On May 2-4 we had 11 of our 55 USA team members take the trip to Lancaster PA for the Trident May Maelstrom Long Course Meet held at F & M University. We swam away with 13 Junior Olympic times and 7 Middle Atlantic All Star Zone Times, and 15 team records.
The meet had swimmers from all over the region from as far away as Virgina.

Attending the meet was Olympic hopefuls such as Ian and Jaffery Clark (Both YMCA National Champions and NCAA Champions) and Leah Gingrich from West Shore YMCA (YMCA National Champion and Record Holder). (Click Here to view PFY Results)
