Help Katie Get a New Prosthetic Leg!

Help Katie Get a New Prosthetic Leg!

Katie Mclaughlin was a PFY Team member a few years back until she had to move to New York State. She was full of energy and was a true team member who supported EVERY swimmer in every race. Now she is in need of some help! I HOPE WE CAN HELP HER IN HER TIME OF NEED!

On April 18, 2009, Katie was in a very serious car accident, caused by a drunk driver. As a result of her injuries, the lower portion of Katie's right leg had to be amputated (between the knee and the ankle). Katie is a skydiver, a swimmer, a rock climber, a bungie jumper, a softball player, a soccer player, and a professional life guard, but she can't do any of these things without her right leg. Prosthetic legs cost about $20,000, and she might need more than one. Will you help Katie buy a new leg and get her life back?
